Jackie Annesley was born in the Middle East and it was on the Gulf Daily News in Bahrain that she started her journalism career.

This led to a five year Australian odyssey before the British press beckoned in the early 1990s. She spent ten years at the Daily Mail, editing Femail and also as an Assistant Editor, then a decade as a commissioning executive on the Evening Standard, followed by time editing News Review on The Sunday Times and more than two years as editor of Style magazine.

Following several years of producing content for a tech start-up and a stint as editor on a news digest website, she has recently been appointed editor of YOU magazine on the Mail On Sunday.
